A Note from the Church Board:  For the next two weeks, we would like to show our staff how much we love and appreciate them during Pastor & Staff Appreciation. We encourage you to take time to make a personal contact with our staff members to express your appreciation for their hard work and dedication. Other ways you can express your appreciation is to drop a personal card in the Pastor & Staff Appreciation box in the upper lobby, or you can mail it to 200 S. Williams St, Newark. You may also consider giving a monetary gift in addition to your weekly tithe and offering. Your love offering may be given by cash or check; text "newarknaz" to 779-77; or give through our Newark Naz app. Please indicate "Pastor & Staff Appreciation" on your gifts. Lastly, continue to pray daily for our pastors and staff members as they lead our church. Your personal expression of gratitude will be remembered.  We have asked our staff to give us a list of their favorite treats; that list is attached below.

If you’d like more details or have any questions, you can reach out to Marcia Miller at marciamiller708@yahoo.com

Newark Naz Life Groups - We believe life is better surrounded by people who encourage, support, and challenge you to grow in your relationship with Christ. God created us to live life connected to Him and to the people around us. If you're interested in joining a Life Group at Newark Naz or would like to talk to someone about our groups, take the first step to finding your life group by completing this form. We will reach out to you and help you find a place to connect.

BLESS Every Home App - God calls us to love our neighbors, and the Bless Every Home App makes it easy to do just that. This wonderful tool provides gentle accountability to help you bless those around you. Simply download the app, enter your address and email, and each day you will receive the names of five neighbors along with a heartfelt prayer of blessing for them. Plus, the app offers additional ideas for blessing those in your community. Start today and bring joy to your neighbors in the name of Jesus! The app is available through the App Store, Google Play or online by clicking here.

Five Ways to Give @ Newark Naz - We offer five convenient ways to give at Newark Naz. In person on Sunday morning: drop your gift into one of the offering baskets or in the offering box in the sanctuary. Online: through our website or by using our app (go to your Google Play or App Store and download NewarkNaz). Through the mail: 200 S. Williams St., Newark, OH 43055. And you can always text to give by texting "newarknaz" to 779-77. Thank you for your continued generosity, Newark Naz!

Newark Naz App - Did you know that Newark Naz has an app? You can see upcoming events, read the daily Bible reading, sign up for a class, watch sermons, give your tithes and offerings and donate to ministries...all from the app! Go to your Google Play or App Store and download NewarkNaz.

Engage Database - Another way to stay connected with each other is through Engage. To request an account, we ask that you go here and click “request account.” You will receive an email allowing you to set up your account. Please make sure all your contact information is valid and updated. You can also add a photo of yourself and your family members. Only staff and leadership will be able to see all this information and you can control the privacy settings. This database is a great way to ENGAGE in the work of God.

Daily Bible Reading Plan - Looking to spend 2025 immersed in God's word? Pastor Dan recommends this reading and listening plan as an excellent resource to help you draw closer to God in the coming year.

Parking Lot Update - We are rejoicing together that our parking lot project is fully paid for! Thank you, church family, for your faithful giving to the Capital Improvements Fund. Because of your generosity, we have reached our goal, and this space will continue to serve and welcome our community for years to come. To God be the glory!

Dinner at the House - Join us the first Tuesday of each month as we host dinner for our Newark Naz families, neighbors, and the Boys and Girls Club of Newark. Dinner will be served at the Firehouse (71 Maholm St.) from 6:00-7:30 PM. We invite you to drop-in to eat, and as you do, sit with someone you don't know to learn that person's story in order to build a relationship with them. Join us as we share the love of God with our community. If you are interested in serving or providing for this ministry, please contact Renee Steele at (740) 975-6741.

Newark Naz Food Pantry needs some extra help next week. A few extra hands would easy the workload on Thursday, October 9 at 7:00 AM to unload the Food Pantry Network truck and help stock the shelves. Volunteers are always welcome and needed to assist guests with shopping, carrying food to guest's car, stocking the shelves or simply being there to make everyone feel welcome on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM at our Firehouse campus (71 Maholm St.). If you are able to lend a helping hand, please contact Jan GreenRiver at greenriver01@hotmail.com or 740-915-8026.

Neighborhood Warming Stations, October 30 - Beggar's night is a great opportunity to connect with your neighbors and show them kindness by hosting a Neighborhood Warming Station while children trick or treat. Newark Naz will provide the beverage, cups, lids, tablecloth and a yard sign. All you need to supply is a warming container for your beverage. If you would like to host a Neighborhood Warming Station at your house, please sign up here by October 21. All supplies will be available for pick up in the fellowship hall at our Williams Street campus on Sunday, October 26.

Winter Coat Drive - At our Fall Festival, on Sunday, October 26, we will be passing out winter coats to our community. Help love and serve our community by donating new and gently used children's coats. Donated coats may be put in the Give Tank by Sunday, October 26. You may also give a monetary donation for the church to purchase winter gear by placing a check or cash in the offering indicating "Winter Coats," give through the Newark Naz App or you can text "newarknaz" to 779-77.

Neighborhood Fall Festival - This fall Newark Naz is hosting a Fall Festival for our local community on Sunday, October 26 from 3:00 - 4:30 PM at our Williams Street Campus. We will have our winter coat giveaway, Trunk or Treat, a pumpkin patch, and fall snacks. Join us as we love our community.

NEW MINISTRY: Toolbox Ministry - Have you ever wanted to go on a mission trip but felt like you couldn’t? Our new Toolbox Ministry is a way to serve right here at home by helping widows, seniors, single moms, and others in need through handyman or gardening tasks. We’re building a team of able-bodied volunteers who want to be the hands and feet of Jesus through simple, meaningful service. Currently, we’re building the ministry team before we take any requests for assistance. If you would like to serve on this team, use this form to sign-up or contact Rena Ault at Rena8769@gmail.com or 740-963-6287.

Food Pantry Needs - This month we are collecting boxed potatoes, stuffing, canned pumpkin, gravy, canned green beans, canned corn, pop-top soups, and canned meats. Donations of these items can be placed in the Give Tank. If you would like to make a monetary donation, you can place a check in the offering or text "newarknaz" to 779-77 or give through our Newark Naz app. Thank you for your continued support of our community and helping those in need.

Behavioral Healthcare Partners Mobile Care Now Clinic - BHP has a new mental health urgent care mobile unit which will be available to serve our Newark Naz community and neighborhood. The mobile Care Now Clinic will be in our Williams Street parking lot on October 29 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The Care Now Clinic is designed to serve individuals 5 years and older, regardless of ability to pay, who are experiencing behavioral health or emotional distress. Individuals seen in the Clinic will receive specific and targeted care by a qualified behavioral health professional. If you, a family member, or a friend are interested in the Care Now Clinic, pre-care information packets can be picked up at the Welcome Desk or are available through this link. If you have any questions, please contact Cheryl Simpson at cheryl@newarknaz.org

Tell Your Story - Do the people around you know what God has done for you? Snap this QR code or use this link to access the document to learn how to effectively tell people the story of your faith.

Helping Hands Fund - As we continue to see much need within our community, please consider giving over and above your regular tithe and offering to help those in need by giving to the Helping Hands Fund. On-going offerings that are given to the Helping Hands Fund will help people from our Newark Naz family, and will also help our partner community agencies to assist our neighbors and friends in the larger Newark area. You may give in the offering by marking your check "Helping Hands," or give electronically through our Newark Naz App or by texting "newarknaz" to 779-77 and choosing "Helping Hands."

Photo & Video Release - Check out our Photo/Video Release here.

We look forward to worshiping with you on Sunday. You are in our prayers, and you are loved!
